By decree of the Empire, all eligible citizens are hereby notified of mandatory enrollment in Standard Service Training under the Rider’s Barracks Division.
Service is a civic obligation. Attendance is not optional.
I. On Eligibility
All individuals meeting age and health requirements will report for intake assessment at their assigned district post.
Exemptions are limited and reviewed at the discretion of Imperial authorities.
Service is a duty owed to the stability of the realm.
II. On Rider Candidacy
All conscripts entering Rider’s Barracks are recognized as potential Rider candidates until conclusion of the Bonding Trial.
No distinction is made at intake between dragon or griffin designation.
The Trial determines alignment.
III. On the Bonding Trial
The Bonding Trial is a long-held tradition honoring the sacred partnership between Rider and beast.
Cadets enter designated territory without guidance or interference, allowing bonds to form naturally between those meant to stand together.
Some return bonded.
Some return alone.
Each outcome reveals the path of service best suited to the individual.
IV. On Class Distinctions
All citizens serve.
Those of recognized houses or titled lineage may fulfill their obligation through ceremonial or administrative placements, as recognized under Imperial statute.
These fulfill service requirements in full.
V. On Risk
Training injury and field assignment are acknowledged possibilities under Standard Service.
Such risks are accepted as part of Imperial defense.
Sacrifice in service is honored.
Final Record Note
You are not called to be lost.
You are called to stand where you are needed.
